The Founders

Róbert Kiss, Ph.D., CEO

has a PhD in pharmacy and has worked for Gedeon Richter Plc. He is member of the American Chemical Society and has numerous scientific publications including journal papers and book chapters. He has 10 years of experience in the field of drug discovery focusing on molecular modeling and virtual screening.
In 2015, Róbert was awarded János Bolyai Research Scholarship by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Márk Sándor, Chief Cheminformatician

is a physicist who has worked for Gedeon Richter Plc. He has gained experience in the field of molecular modeling, cheminformatics, and design of molecule databases.

Zoltán Szalai, CTO, lead developer

is an IT specialist, who has been working as a frontend / backend lead developer in web- and desktop projects in the past 8 years. He has relevant experience regarding modern web technologies and user experience design.

Ferenc Szalai, Co-founder

is a physicist who has worked for CERN LHC and a numerous international high-performance, grid and cloud computing projects. Author of several scientific publication on the field. He designed, operated and developed large-scale computing systems and web services. He is an active member of the Hungarian start-up community with management experience.

László Havancsák, Co-founder

is an entrepreneur with over 30 years of business experience in various fields such as commerce, real estate, and engineering. He has a wide experience in investments and building business and financial strategies of new ventures.

Mariianne Crary

Mariianne is managing director of HUBSV and has a long experience in introducing companies to the US market. Mariianne is COO of Mcule, Inc and is coordinating US operations.

Advisory board

György Miklós Keserű

György is leading the Medicinal Chemistry Group at the Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Previously he was the Head of Discovery Chemistry at Gedeon Richter Plc, where he was responsible for all discovery chemistry activities including classic and automated medicinal chemistry, computer assisted drug discovery (CADD), compound management and high throughput screening (HTS). He is a member of several chemical and modelling societies, editorial board member of scientific journals and the author of more than 100 publications. György is giving invaluable advises on the development strategy of Mcule's modeling platform.

Peter Cohan

Peter Cohan has an MS in Chemistry. He is the founder and principal of The Second Derivative improving sales and marketing results. Founded the discovery Tools business unit at Symyx Technologies, growing the business from 0 to $30M. Board member of Collaborative Drug Discovery, Inc.

Sunil Maulik

Sunil Maulik has a Ph.D. in BioPhysics. He is VP Business Development at Designit, Silicon Valley. Helped take the first drug design company to IPO. Former Head of Bioinformatics at Roche. Founded and lead life science company to profitability and is experienced in raising funds.

Robin Nagy

Robin is a business specialist with strong cultural sensibility and customer focus. He holds an MBA and is experienced in general management, business development, project management, new ventures, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital. Robin is involved in strategic planning of Mcule's sales, marketing and business operations.

Mihály Medzihradszky

Medzi is an experienced international sales professional with a proven track record of selling software and services, managing teams and formulating marketing and product strategy. Medzi is involved in the planning of Mcule's business and marketing strategy.
